| August 3-9 | 5th Annual Downtown Restaurant Week (Dinner only) Where: Various restaurants in Downtown St. Louis (St. Louis, MO) Contact: 314-436-6500 Twenty five of downtown's finest dining establishments will take part in this fabulous food event. There will be no passes to buy, coupons to carry or cards to punch. Patrons will simply attend the restaurant of their choice and select from a special 3 course dinner menu for $25.00 per person, plus tip and tax. |

| August 28-29 | Race for the Rivers Festival Where: Frontier Park (St. Charles, MO) www.racefortherivers.org Greenway Network, a non-profit citizens action group, is hosting 2 canoe and kayak races on the Missouri River, a staged event covering 65 miles. The organization is also hosting the Race for the Rivers Festival at Frontier Park which will feature adventure and outdoor sports vendors and educational displays and activities. There will also be live bands, art, environmental activities while you wait for the racers to cross the finish line. |
