| November 13 | 10th Annual Turkey Trot Where: Rotary Park • Time: 8:30am-10:30am • Fee: $17 by Nov 8 or $25 race day Before you begin eating your way throught the holidays, why not do something healthy and kick off the holiday season with Wentzviile's annual Turke Trot. Best of all this event isn't just for fitness buffs and athletes. With nine age groups and both a 5K and a one-mile walk/run, the Turkey Trot has fitness and age levels for everyone. The first 150 entrants will receive an official Wentzville Turkey Trot shirt. All participants are entered into a drawing for a turkey for your Thanksgiving Feast. The winners of the 5K run in each of the following age groups will receive awards: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 & 70 & over. The tops three overall males and females will also receive awards, buth they will not be awarded the plaque for winning their age groups. Contact Information: 636-332-9236 |
| November 13 | 1990's Trivia Night Ages 21 & Older Wentzville Parks and Recreation is offering a trivia night for adults 21 and older. The theme is the 1990's decade. Trivia night will consist of 10 rounds with ten questions in each round. "Mulligans" are available for each table to purchase. A light snack and beverages will be provided. Special awards for the best 1990's themed table. Cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. There will be 1990's sport and movie collectible silent auction put on by hero's and legends. Register as a team of 8 people and don't forget to register early because space is limited! Pre-registration required. | December 3 | Spirit of Christmas Dinner & Dance Ages 50 & Older Catch the spirit of Christmas at Progress Park Center. This will be a delightful evening. Participants will enjoy dinner served by the Parks & Recreation staff and volunteers. Live musical entertainment, a visit from Santa and door prizes will be included in this night of fun. Pre-registration required. Registration deadline is one week prior to the start of the program/event or when full, unless otherwise noted. | December 4 | Breakfast with Santa Ages Birth-12 years old Have you been naughty or nice? Join Santa for donuts and milk or juice followed by a craft and fun games. Each child will have individual time with Santa for parents to take pictures. (Craft and gamees are targeted for children ages 2 & older; younger children will need help from a parent) Pre-registration required. Registration deadlines is one week prior to the start of the program/event or when full, unless otherwise noted. Call Wentzville Parks and Recreation at 636-332-9236 if you need further information. | December 13 | Holiday Night Lights Walk Through A special walk through night has been set aside. Are you looking for something to do outdoors when the weather gets a little cooler? One special night a year Wentzville Parks and Recreation reserves the Holida Night Lights display for those wo wold like to enjoy the lights at a slower pace. Participants will walk through the displays and enjoy refreshments in the Kolb building. Santa Claus will also be stopping by so don't forget to bring the little ones and a camera for a photo opportunity. Time: 6pm-8pm • Fee: $3 (under 6 is free) |
| October 24 | Halloween Happenings Where: Progress Park Gymnasium • Time: 2pm-4pm For Ages 1-10 • Fees $2 or 2 canned food items in advance or $4 day of event Progress park will be filled with characters from your favorite fairy tales, ghosts, goblins and many other exciting characters when children in costume fill the gymnasium to play games and jump in the bounce houses.
